Obviously not "true blizzard" criteria, but a lot of the areas currently under blizzard warnings aren't expected to receive sustained winds of 35+ MPH at any point. However, gusts are expected to be that high for those areas, and our region is forecasted to be just shy of that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-27602814589773526412012-12-25T17:10:29.581-05:002012-12-25T17:10:29.581-05:00yeah but we are not even going to be over 35 for a...yeah but we are not even going to be over 35 for any hoursAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-60671388267667252372012-12-25T17:04:31.419-05:002012-12-25T17:04:31.419-05:001993 they issued blizzard warning days in advance....1993 they issued blizzard warning days in advance.Hamlin Plowernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-16673790731816645792012-12-25T17:02:47.122-05:002012-12-25T17:02:47.122-05:0035 OR OVER FOR THREE CONSECUTIVE HOURS 35 OR OVER FOR THREE CONSECUTIVE HOURS HAMLIN PLOWERnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-56175489652681681832012-12-25T16:28:24.892-05:002012-12-25T16:28:24.892-05:00well by any means were getting snow and will have ...well by any means were getting snow and will have blizzard conditions and snowfall rates of 2" per hour wednesday night. snow is amazingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-54892338005137801752012-12-25T16:15:04.723-05:002012-12-25T16:15:04.723-05:00well I know that I have never seen Buffalo issue b...well I know that I have never seen Buffalo issue blizzard warnings as long as I have lived here in NY<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-39084521465730078322012-12-25T16:13:31.224-05:002012-12-25T16:13:31.224-05:00yes, but where the blizzard warnings are right now...yes, but where the blizzard warnings are right now I do not think their winds will be sustained over 35. snow is amazingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-19409481565480315772012-12-25T16:06:00.221-05:002012-12-25T16:06:00.221-05:00Sustained winds have to be over 35 for it to be a ...Sustained winds have to be over 35 for it to be a blizzardCharles Wachalnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793508672957135735.post-46717945930351234702012-12-25T16:01:49.033-05:002012-12-25T16:01:49.033-05:00im no expert.
