September continues a long trend in Rochester of being warmer than normal.  The map above shows the departure from average in each of the past 4 months, including September.  We expect cooler weather to dominate the rest of this month so perhaps we'll break the pattern of above normal months by the end of this one.  I for one can't wait for cooler days and lake effect rain showers!

  1. I READ AN ARTICLE IN THE NEWS ABOUT THE ICE MELT IN THE ARTIC COULD HAVE A PROFOUND EFFECT ON THIS WINTER. THEY STATE THAT THE JET STREAM WILL MOST LIKELY BE MORE AMPLIFIED CASUING MORE EXTREME WEATHER AND STORMS FOR OUR REGION. JUST WONDERING YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS. THE LINK IS BELOW.
