WHEN IS WIND CHILL DANGEROUS?

When the air is this cold out, just a modest breeze can make it dangerous to be outside. Wind chill is simply how cold you'll feel combining temperature and wind speed which steals any thin layer of heat near your skin. We're expecting winds to increase a bit after midnight from the West up to 20 mph at times. This will be just enough to push most of the area into a warning early Friday.

Spending only 10 minutes outside in this environment can start frostbite! Cover as much skin as possible especially if you must be outside.
