DONE WITH THE DELUGE, NOW FOR DRY AIR!
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
I write this as the drenching, lightning-laden storms push away from the WNY region late Saturday afternoon, and breath a sigh of relief, for several reasons.
1- I told a co-worker he'd have no problems with rain at the Rascal Flatts concert this evening.
2- My cousin's graduation party is today, and although I can't be there, I'd still like them to see some sun (and they will!)
3- Let's face it, this has been an underachieving summer, and in order to have any hope of seeing consecutive warm days, we have to break this pattern we're stuck in.
Now I don't see a drastic change to the warm side of things in our near future, but a decent sized high pressure system will be taking over by the beginning of the new week, ensuring mainly-dry weather and a slight warm-up back to near 80.
