"COOL" SUMMER STATS & TOP TEN CLIMATE LISTS

This is has definitely been a strange summer. The overall pattern for the months of June and July featured an unusual position for the jet stream during the summer. It spent a good deal of the summer to our south allowing unseasonably cool air locked in parts of the Midwest, Great Lakes and the Northeast including Western New York. So far this summer season, many cities have shattered records for summer chill. Here are the 2009 statistics for Rochester which reflect the near record lack of heat so far this summer. The following information is from the National Weather Service in Buffalo:
