WELL IT CERTAINLY FEELS LIKE OCTOBER!
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
Yesterday was one of the coldest days we've had in over 4 months, and a near-repeat performance from Mother Nature again today. Lows dipped to around 40 for most of WNY early this morning. Light lake effect rain/drizzle falls and will continue to fall during the late morning, hopefully winding down by later this afternoon, as winds shift away from the northwest to more of a westerly direction. Don't expect the sun to glare at you at any point, but a few breaks are possible at the end of the daylight hours, mainly southwest of Rochester (Genesee, Wyoming counties).
If skies can manage to clear out tonight, it's going to get cold! We're thinking at least the low 40's, but if we lose our blanket that is the clouds, a visit to the 30s could be imminent.
High temps today will be no more than the low 50's. Hey, it's October, what do you expect?!
