THE BEST WEEK OF SUMMER WEATHER?

Written by: Brian Neudorff

We're all different and that means different likes and dislikes when it comes to the weather. That's probably true among even the three meteorologist here in the News 8 Weather office. Now I can't speak for my other colleagues but when it comes to summer weather, I like it warm but not too hot or humid. In fact, dew points 55-60 and highs 75-80 would be ideal for me through the summer.

Of course I know the other side of the coin is for those who love hot and humid. For some the hotter the better. Personally speaking, I think this may be the best week of weather we've seen all summer long.

We will have a couple areas of high pressure dominate our weather through the week. The only interruption in the nice sunny weather could come late Wednesday into early Thursday morning with a cold front passing through the region.

Sunny skies will dominate today through even the first half of Wednesday thanks to the current area of high pressure located over the central Great Lakes. Temperatures will start off seasonal in the low 80s but warm to near 90 by Wednesday as the high pressure drifts off to our east.

A cold front currently in the Northern Plains will move through the Great Lakes and western New York late Wednesday and early Thursday this could spark a few showers and storms. Once this front passes we return the sunshine and see a big cool down. Our high will go from the 90 expected on Wednesday down to the upper 70s on Thursday to even mid 70s by Friday. Even the weekend looks nice as highs will be in the low 80s and mostly sunny skies. Enjoy.
