A GLOOMY START TO THE WEEK

Written by: Brian Neudorff

If Monday's weren't already hard enough the weather had to be dark, dreary, cool and wet. The same system that brought the copious amounts of rain that Scott reported on yesterday has no slowed and nearly stalled over central and eastern New York. This storm will eventually drift south-southeast off the Mid-Atlantic coast by Tuesday. This will keep clouds around even though Tuesday is dry.

By Wednesday a cold front will spread more clouds into the region, this will also set off another round of showers. Once the front passes the second half of the week looks great. It will be cool Thursday and Friday as high temperatures will be in the low 70s but by the weekend as high pressure settles in over the east we will have lots of sunshine and seasonal temperatures near 80.

TROPICAL WEATHER NEWS:
Over the weekend, tropical storm Danielle, the 4th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, formed out over the Atlantic. The forecast is calling for Danielle to become a hurricane sometime Tuesday morning. This storm is no threat to major land masses. The only place that will need to watch Danielle is Bermuda.

We are a little over 2 weeks away from the peak of hurricane season and there's not much forecast after Danielle at this point. Many forecasters were calling for this to be a very active season, at least the potential was there. Tomorrow or Wednesday I will try to put together a post on why we aren't seeing the development that many thought we would. If you have a question feel free to leave it below.
