DECENT LAKE SNOW EAST
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
Although there is only a lake effect snow warning for just Wayne county on Sunday, metro Rochester and northern Monroe county will get in on the action as well.
Amounts will range from 2-4" as you can see in the blue shading, but the numbers jump quickly in the focal point of the lake snow band in areas like Sodus, Red Creek, and even Williamson. Some spots could approach new snow totaling 12", with cold, dry conditions bumping up the snowfall ratios meaning it will be very light and fluffy.
Outside of these bands, its pretty quiet across most of the area. Some spots in Wyoming/Genesee county will get several inches from Lake Erie as well.
any winter snow storms in the near future?
