SUMMER IS BACK NEXT WEEK

Written By: Scott Hetsko

Yes! Open your pool man, what are you waiting for? I expect a big warm up next week beginning on Tuesday and likely continuing through the next weekend. The jet stream will lift Northeast of us by Wednesday which will allow a rich, warm flow of air into Rochester.

Initially we'll enjoy sunshine along with the warmer air but as high pressure at the surface will slide off the coast, I expect more storms by Thursday and Friday of next week. We could reach 90 degrees on Thursday, stay tuned!

  1. I can't wait. The swimming pool just isn't as fun when it's 75-80. Bring on the 90's, and bring on those really balmy nights! Those really hot days in Rochester always bring me back to my childhood living in southern Ohio. Seems like it was 90 every day down there and we had the pool open constantly. Looking forward to it!

  2. Scott,
If you could take rain out of the forecast for tomorrow that would be great!

  3. Hey Scott I heard that b/c the air is so darn dry that the ground was able to lose alot of its water and dry out. will that have anything to do with us getting hotter next week??

  4. Yes and that's a great point! On days with low humidity, the ground loses its moisture MUCH quicker so with less ground water temperatures will soar!
