Smashing Records Early This Week
Written by: Scott Hetsko
Strong warm air advection ahead of a strong cold front pushed temperatures into record numbers across Western New York on Monday! Rochester's record of 57 degrees was beat before noon. Eventually we ended up with a high temperature of 63 degrees. The warmest day ever recorded in Rochester was a whopping 74 degrees in 1950. More records will be challenged on Tuesday before cooler air moves into the region Wednesday. Strong winds, rain and even a thunderstorm is possible Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Enjoy the January thaw while you can!
Golf in January in Rochester. How sweet. Nice to get out and walk around--comfortably.
