Touched By A Winter Storm Friday
Written by: Scott Hetsko
Let's be honest, this Winter stinks for those of us who love snowstorms. When a large storm heads our way, we get too warm and a mix falls. This time around we are plenty cold enough but the storm will track too far South to give the region a significant snowfall. Light snow will first develop Southwest by dawn Friday morning. Light snow may not reach Rochester until lunchtime and will continue through the evening. The snowfall rates will be very small North of Route 20A. The Southern Tier Counties have the best shot of getting a plowable 2-4" snowfall. 6" will be closest to the Pennsylvania border in towns like Wellsville. The Rochester metro will be lucky to get an inch out of this guy.
We're watching a more potent storm that will arrive Tuesday. Guess which way that storm will track! If you guessed West of us, you're right!
