VERY SNOW MONTH ENDING

Written By: Scott Hetsko

A new daily record of 10.5" of snow fell today at the Rochester Airport which threw December 2008 near the record books for snowfall! As of 4pm, 45" of snow has fallen since December 1st which is second only to December 1981 when 47.9" of snow fell at the airport.

Amazingly, Rochester record three separate daily snowfall records. The majority of our snow has fallen over the past 12 days which has seen nearly 30" of snow!

Daily records in December
12/19: 8.9"
12/21: 6.4"
12/31: 10.5"

  1. Scott,
You are obviously an intelligent person, but comments such as double nickles and double hocky sticks, etc. sound stupid

  2. Will it ever stop snowing? I am from central Texas originally and we are lucky if we get 6 inches in a year
