IDA MOVES TO THE GULF
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
Now Tropical Storm Ida is chugging her wa into the Gulf of Mexico in the next 24 hours, and experts at the National Hurricane Center suspect that she could regain strength and achieve hurricane status again.
Her forecast path puts her moving almost due north between the Yucatan peninsula and Cuba. Right now, the forecast track has minimal US impact, as the storm dies off before running into the northern coast along the Louisian/Mississippi/Alabama border area. Stay tuned, but as of now, this storm does not pose a major threat to life or property in any country, including ours.
