A MINI JANUARY THAW BEGINS THURSDAY

A warm front rides over the area overnight which will stop our cold streak Thursday. A decent amount of sunshine along with warming temperatures from the mid west should get us near 40 degrees tomorrow. The only thing that may hold back that temperature is our deep snowpack which will greatly limit the amount of solar radiation absorbed by our little chunk of Earth.
We will remain milder than average right on through the weekend. You may know about a storm that will be near central Virginia on Sunday. This storm still looks to remain South of us but will spreak clouds Northward on Sunday. High pressure will promise sunshine and slightly colder weather early next week.
Scott,
ReplyDeleteDo you think we'll lose most, or even all of our snowpack by the time this pacific air is through with us?
