VERY COLD AIR RETURNS FRIDAY
Written By: Scott Hetsko
If you thought you would escape March without a really cold day, boy were you wrong! A strong cold front is moving across the region this evening which will drop temperatures by 20 to 25 degrees by Friday morning.
You might be wondering about lake effect snow, the air-mass is very dry and with high pressure building East quickly lake effect won't be an issue. I do expect some lakeside snow flurries especially early tomorrow morning. The more immediate concern would be some areas of black ice forming again where wet roads will freeze quickly after 11 p.m. this evening. Please watch for icy bridges or overpasses overnight. A very cold start Saturday but we'll be back to the 40s in the afternoon. Bundle up tomorrow!
