PROBLEMS FOR THE LPGA PRO-AM
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
"Problems" may not be the correct wording for it, but the weather could make things a bit more interesting on Tuesday for the LPGA Pro-Am at Locust Hill. The model data at left shows the 2pm forecast for Tuesday and it shows us receiving a bit of rain for the 6 hours before that. This little feature is associated with a weak wave of rising motion in the upper levels passing through. After this wave, we stay somewhat unstable for a few days (through about Thursday) with on/off shower and storm chances in that time. Although we won't be soaked, umbrellas will be a good thing to have if you're checking out the golf. The good news is that the weekend looks pretty good as high pressure ridges in by Friday and continues into Saturday.
Are we evr going to break out of this wet pattern or is this the way the summer is going to go this year?
ReplyDeleteYes, please give us a little insight? I like you guys a lot, but your Summer 2010 forecast is way off track. Scott, you said that the first part of the summer would be warm and dry. Yes, it has been warmer than last year, but is this rain ever going to stop??? What I believe is there is no way to forecast the weather.
