SNOW PILES HIGH

Written By: Scott Hetsko

Very impressive LOCAL snow amounts from 3 days of lake effect snow over Western NY. Western Wayne County towns saw near or just over 2 feet of snow. A 8 miles West in Palmyra only 8" fell. It shows the incredible differences in snow fall from one town to the next.

This map is the very reason that forecasting lake effect snow totals is the most difficult thing about weather in Western NY. How much have you gotten?

  5. Still only about 3-4" in Sodus Point. I have pictures to prove it too. Unbelievable! Clyde and Lyons have at least 20" (estimate). I have lived here ten years and do not recall ever seeing so many areas south of here getting so much more snow that us.
