Record Warmth Possibly Today, but...

Written by John DiPasquale:

Record warmth a distinct possibility today! The record is 66° in Rochester today, & with temperatures already at 64 as I type at around 1230, I think we have a pretty good shot of at least tieing it, if not breaking the record. The only thing that could stop us are some patchy high & mid level clouds drifting through this afternoon. We'll see how the clouds hold together as they try to move in from the west.

So today through midday Thursday will almost be warm enough for shorts, but come Thursday night through Saturday we will flip back to winter & need the heavy jackets! Gotta love March Madness! Keeps us on our toes, right!?

There should be at least a little snow in the air also Friday & early Friday night thanks to a disturbance/trough & limited lake effect. Saturday will be nice, but a little chilly, & then we should bounce right back into the 50s on Sunday with some more sun! So the pick day of the weekend looks to be Sunday. Also, remember to set the clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night, & check the batteries in the smoke detector.

Enjoy the spring weather & have a good night bloggers & readers!

  3. Was a wonderful day to enjoy! One thing positive about the lack of snow is it wasn't as muddy like it usually is when we get our first warm days after winter and the all the snow melts.....there was no snow to melt so the kids were able to play outside without a load of mud
