Moderation After Today

Written by John DiPasquale:

The peak of the chill is being felt out there now, but we will begin to brighten & turn a little milder for Thursday, & especially by Friday as the map to the left displays.

This afternoon, though, will feature a scattering of showers, occasionally mixed with a bit of snow/graupel, especially in the hills south. Highs, with a brisk wind, will only reach the mid 40s.

Thursday with more in the way of sun & a slightly moderated air mass, we should peak out around 50.

High pressure will crest over us Friday, & after a frosty start, we should feel readings warm to around 60 under tons of sun & light winds!

This weekend looks pretty damp, but mild, plus we need the rain. It's just unfortunate that the rain has to fall on the weekend. Temperatures this weekend should warm into the 60s, which will feel nice.

Come early next week we should cool down & at least temporarily dry out before more precipitation attempts to push in for the middle of the week. Stay tuned.

Have a great day & stay warm all!
