Different Pattern Setting Up...

Written by John DiPasquale:

Today & tomororw will be summery & more humid come Wednesday ahead of a cold front that is expected to move through Wednesday night with a few spotty pop up showers/storms Wednesday afternoon & night.  This front will likely end up stalling late Thursday into Friday, as an area of low pressure develops along the front & intensifies while slowly moving into the Northeast Friday/Saturday.  Ultimately this scenario will likely lead to at least a little bit of rainy weather at times late this week into the weekend.  Temperatures will go from well into the 80s today & Wednesday, to the low to mid 70s Thursday through the weekend.  It looks like we will end up being the coolest stretch we've experienced in some time coming up.  Stay tuned for updates over the coming days on how cool & wet it's going to get late this week into the weekend.

Have a nice day WNY!

  1. Have we turned a corner on the summer weather?

  2. We are hosting a party for 100 for Mom, who's turning 100 on Saturday. We had planned to set up tents on Friday night. With the rain that would allow the ground underneath to dry out some. The tents aren't commercial type but they are good size 15 by 30. Wind obviously could be an issue. I looked on the forecast details and it said winds 6 to 16 on Friday and Saturday.

IF real windy we would likely set up the tents Saturday though that will be a little rushed and we'd have the wet ground.

Any guidance on the winds Friday night at 6 - 9 PM as well as what will the wind be like over night and then on Saturday would be very helpful. I know its in the end our decision and no blame if you miss the forecast.

If its a light 5MPH wind for the period, I think we can do it Friday night. But if it gusts to 20 MPH we would likely half to wait and rush to do it all on Saturday. Thanks in advance... our FAMILY...
