Soaking, Severe Sunday
Written by: Stacey Pensgen
Sunday's severe storms that rolled through not only knocked down tree limbs and power lines, and left thousands without power. It also dropped a lot of very beneficial rain on many in the Rochester area. In fact, we set a record for daily rainfall for the day, with 1.70", most of which fell in about 30 minutes to an hour or so.
After Sunday's rain, we are now about an inch above average for precipitation on the Summer season, and basically right on par for precipitation since January 1st, despite our very dry winter.

Only 3/10 of an inch in my rain gauge in Lyons from yesterday's rains.
