Summer Feel Here for Brief Visit

Written by John DiPasquale:

Summery warmth today through early Friday afternoon will be replaced by an almost wintry air mass Friday night through the start of Sunday!  The strong cold front is expected to pass through between about 2 & 4 or 5 o'clock Friday with some showers & a few storms, a couple of which may pack a punch with damaging wind gusts.  Temperatures will plunge out of the 70s & into the 40s & low 50s by day's end Friday!  Winds could gust to near 60 at times with & especially after the frontal passage through Friday evening for Monroe County and the Greater Rochester area points west through the Niagara Frontier.

We will likely wake up to the 30s Saturday morning & wind chills in the 20s & 30s throughout the day Saturday with highs no higher than the low to mid 40s!  There may even be a passing snow/rain shower or two through the early afternoon around!  After a frosty start to Sunday, a lot of strong late April sun should warm us into the low 50s during the afternoon with light winds to end the weekend.  That will feel better anyways.  We should warm back up some early next week, before probably chilling back off mid to late next week.  Pattern as a whole looks pretty cool after tomorrow, Friday.

Have a great day & enjoy the nice, warm weather out there today!
