BLOG 1/10/09: WILL THERE BE SNOW FOR THE WEEKEND?
Written by: Brian Neudorff
Earlier this week we were watching the potential for several inches of snow going into the weekend. Such is the case with forecasting as we got closer and closer to the weekend the idea and forecast kept changing slightly. It appears that now this storm is going to go farther south and as it does so take all the snow with it.
We will still get a few flakes but it appears that most of the snow will fall through Pennsylvania and in the Southern Tier of New York. I think a total of 3 to maybe 6 inches could fall in the Southern Tier with just a coating to maybe 3 inches north. It shouldn't be to bad here this weekend and as Scott talked about yesterday in "ROCHESTER FREEZES OVER NEXT WEEK" the big story will be how cold things get by the middle of next week.
