CUTTING IT CLOSE FOR SLUSH THIS WEEK

Written by: Bob Metcalfe

A beautiful couple of days lie ahead of us, with an abundance of sunshine through Tuesday afternoon. Our next winter "storm" will likely arrive by the afternoon on Wednesday. Track will be very important as to the type of precipitation and how much we get measured at the ground. Right now, it looks like there may be a split between snow to the areas further north, with a wintry mix possible further south towards the Pennsylvania/NY border areas.

There is still plenty of time ahead of us before the specifics can be ironed out for sure, but we are fairly confident that this storm will bring us the first measurable snow in some time. Fortunately, we aren't going to see any huge impacts in the way of major snow/ice fall. Cold air will also follow in the wake and likely bring some lake effect snow showers into the late week time period.
