A MILD COUPLE OF DAY BUT WE'VE BEEN WARMER

Written by: Brian Neudorff

February seems to be the tale of two months. The first half was actually quite mild. We started the month with a high of 42. There were a few days where the highs fell back into the teens on the 4th & 5th, but then we had an extended period from the 7th to the 12th when our highs was either in the 40s or 50s. Since that time our highs have been much colder ranging from the 30s & 20s. We are going to see a return to the 40s today and Thursday.

Warmer air will spread into the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the northeast from the Midwest through Thursday as southerly winds warm things up. Our highs will be about 15 to 20 degrees than they were to start the week and could be into the upper 40s to near 50 for Thursday.

As we enjoy a brief break from the winter chill, a couple of rain showers are like Wednesday night, parts of Thursday into Friday morning. Unfortunately, this warm-up will not last and we will return to cold winter weather for the weekend.
