STORMY PATTERN THIS WEEK

Written by: Brian Neudorff

Last week we were able to string together multiple sunny dry days. This week because of the overall weather pattern we will see a couple days with showers.

The overall weather pattern features storms forming in the southern plains near Kansas and Oklahoma then tracking to the northeast.

The first storm is going to cause blizzard conditions for parts of the Northern Plains Monday night into Tuesday, with parts of Minnesota & South Dakota could receive up to 2 feet of snow. The flood-ravaged areas of Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN could have 6 to 12 inches of snow. Which is not what those residence need as they try to hold back the waters of the Red River.

A second storm is forecasted to form farther south and track through the Ohio valley into the eastern Great Lakes by the end of the week and into the weekend. As of Monday, the forecast looks like this will be rain for us on Friday with temperatures into the 50s with a few lingering showers into Saturday morning.
