RAIN AND MAY LIKE OIL AND VINEGAR

Sunny weather this week has certainly been great but there is a downside to all this dry weather. We're getting behind in much needed rain this Spring, a trend that has been common in the month of May lately. Since 2005, every May has been well below the 30 year rainfall average. What makes matters worse is that the low humidity we see in Spring increases the amount of water slurped from the ground.
Dry and humid weather is easier for farmers to take than no rain AND dry air. So enjoy the sunny skies but smile if I forecast rain in the near future...
