SOMETHING'S BREWING NEAR FLORDIA

Written by: Brian Neudorff

A storm system is brewing just north of Cuba near the Bahamas. This system will bring winds and very heavy rains to the drought stricken state of Florida.

This storm could produce upwards of 4 plus inches of rain. There are flooding concerns for all of the state of Florida into southeastern Georgia and of course gusty winds near tropical storm force.

Right now this storm is not tropical but could take on "Tropical Characteristics" and it is possible that this storm becomes the first named storm of the 2009 season. If it were to be named it would probably be subtropical storm Ana.
