FRIDAY ISN'T A WASH!

Written by: Bob Metcalfe

As of lately, with this slow-moving and benign weather pattern we've been locked in, any fronts we've experienced have been weak (except of course for the deluge the other day) and short-lived.

This is again the case Friday, and it looks to me that most of the rain will be out of our hair by just after lunch. This cold front, which because of its lack of containing anything even remotely cold will be referred to from here on out as a cool front, arrives shortly before dawn Friday (think 3-5AM or so) in areas west of Rochester. It'll roll through during the early drive time, and pick up steam and head east by about 1pm (as you can see in the image above, that's at 2pm Friday.) Rain with this could be heavy at times because of a ton of available moisture, and thunder could also accompany these storms. The good news? We'll salvage Friday night and the truly strong weather will likely be well west of our area once the afternoon heating kicks in.
