Rainy Start to August for Northeast
Written by: Mike DeNora
August, a month that seems to have the stereotype of hot and dry. It is when all of your beautiful grass in your front yard burns and turns prickly brown. Well, this year, August will bring in at least some rain to almost the entire Northeast. No major thunderstorms are expected for any area but pop-up and passing showers will occur over the region. This rain will keep temperatures low through at least Monday night. Compared to the average, temperatures are expected to be approximately 8 degrees lower over the next 48 hours. For those who like the hot, dry weather, it will likely return by later next week.
