DANIELLE'S OUT, EARL'S IN
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
Danielle isn't going to be a threat to any landmass other than a few decent sized waves in Bermuda and parts of the US coast. Now we turn our attention to soon-to-be Hurricane Earl. He'll be there very shortly so I don't want to say Tropical Storm. The image shows the track over the next several days, with him a hurricane by early Sunday morning. He runs through the Leeward Islands and skims areas like Puerto Rico.
What I'm most concerned with is where he goes beyond 5 days. A few small changes and he could be bound for the Carolina coast. This will be a storm to watch in the coming days.
Also, it is extremely likely that Fiona will be named very shortly, as a good cluster of storms just off the African coast is showing promising signs of strengthening. It's tropical time!
