Summery Today, but Reality Strikes Tomorrow
Written by John DiPasquale:
Strong, warm southwesterly winds pushing temps well into the 70s today, will be replaced by colder west & eventually northeast winds later today & especially tonight. Enjoy it out there now! Thankfully, it does not look like we will really see much, if any, severe weather across our area as the cold front crosses this afternoon/early evening. The best chance to see a severe storm will be east of the Rochester area across the Finger Lakes.
Temperatures tomorrow will be about 20 to 25 degrees colder for highs, as we'll be between 50 & 55, which is average for this time of year. 50 to 55 is what we'll feel not only tomorrow, but really for much of the rest of the week. We will not talk about the weekend at this point. I'll just leave it at that. Stay tuned to News 8 for the latest.
One big difference between this spring and last spring is that the much above average warmth just doesn't want to stick around for more than a day or two this year. Oh well, I guess we'll have to settle for average. At least we're not getting inches of snow like some Aprils get here in Rochester! I'm thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteThe last time we felt 80 degree air was all the way back on September 24th, 2010! I'll look into to it but that has to be one of the largest amount of days between 80 degree days!

I'm glad to see the 40's are out of the 7 day. That's good news.
