Persistent Pattern = This
Written by John DiPasquale:
Another rainy, unseasonably cool day in the spring of 2011. What are gonna do. We will eventually be rewarded for the lousy weather we've endured this spring. The big question is...when? At this juncture, I do not see any big changes to this cooler & wetter than average pattern in the near/foreseeable future unfortunately. Today & tomorrow will likely not get out of the 40s with a soaking rain expected, as you can see quite clearly with the mid morning radar image to the left. These rains will taper to scattered showers & drizzle tonight, & that's basically what we will have around tomorrow in the wake of the storm providing us with the rain today. What will make the chilly, damp conditions feel even worse later today & especially tomorrow will be some gusty northerly winds.
Thankfully, the weather will be much better Thursday with at least some sun & somewhat milder, not mild, temperatures. Another little quick moving system will attempt to throw a little shower activity at us Friday with a break from the rain Saturday before the next threat of a few showers rolls back in for Mom's Day. High temperatures will range from the mid 50s to the low 60s from Thursday through the weekend. There are signs that some 60s & maybe even a 70 something degree day will make an attempt to get in here next week. Stay tuned & dry everyone!
Well, we might as well get use to this. It looks like it is starting to turn out to be one of those cool and wet summers.
ReplyDeleteLook at all the money everyone will be saving on their electricity bills this summer. No need for air conditioning.
I missed Scotts Summer program. Does anyone know what Scotts thoughts were for this summer?
this stinks!

ReplyDeleteIt has been a looooong stretch of very unpleasant weather, going back to Dec. really. However, no matter what, it seems right around Mother's day, the weather is cold and nasty for a week or so. Maybe after next week, we will turn the page.
ReplyDeletePayback for last year no doubt. They don't call them averages for nothing.
