Very Warm & Still No Rain!
Written by John DiPasquale:
At 9am temperatures were well into the 70s to near 80 already, which can only mean we will likely hit 90 or higher right? I actually don't think so today. A weak cold front blew through early this morning with some clouds & in it's wake gusty west winds will slowly usher in slightly cooler & drier air this afternoon, which should shave off about 5 degrees or so from yesterday's highs.
Tonight will be quiet & turn cooler & less humid with lows between 60 & 65, which will make for a more comfortable night sleep.
A reinforcing shot of cooler air will move in & through late tonight & tomorrow morning with an upper air disturbance to follow late Wednesday morning & afternoon. The cold front will likely only have a few clouds with it, but the upper air disturbance should bring a batch of clouds & possibly a shower or two with it. Gusty northwest winds will usher in the refreshing air mass on our Wednesday with highs only in the mid to upper 70s.
High pressure out of Canada will make itself at home later tomorrow night & stick around through at least Saturday. This will ensure us of experiencing a lot more sun & temperatures returning to the 80s for Friday & the weekend. So yes, keep doing that rain dance, because at this point I do not see any significant rains in our foreseeable future. Hang in there farmers.
My yard looks like Phoenix, AZ! I give up on the sprikler. Mother nature wins.
ReplyDeleteIn most cases, grass doesn't die, it just goes dormant during dry times. Of greater concern would be newly planted trees and shrubs.
ReplyDelete@ Franko...Mother Nature ALWAYS wins.
You got that right Sal!
