Nice & More Seasonable Today

Written by John DiPasquale:

It will be nice today & more seasonable with a nice, milder southwest breeze developing on the backside of high pressure. Tomorrow will become windy & warm with a passing shower/storm or two with a weakening disturbance. All in all, though, Wednesday looks like a nice summery day with highs getting up into the mid 80s.

Cold front swings through Thursday morning with some showers & a few storms likely late Wednesday night into Thursday, but we should dry out with some developing sun later Thursday. Temperatures will cool down into the mid to upper 70s for highs Thursday. Friday & Saturday look very nice right now with plenty of sun & comfy temperatures, but then we will have to closely watch Irene, which could very well become a major hurricane in the next day or two over the Bahamas. At this point, it appears she will miss us to the east, but it's going to be close, so definitely stay tuned to News 8 for the very latest throughout the week as we will continue to update our forecasts as new data becomes available. If Irene makes landfall in the U.S., it would be the first time a hurricane has made landfall in 3 years!
