Overall Mild Week Ahead
Written by John DiPasquale:
The warmth of yesterday & early this morning is slowly exiting stage right to the east thanks to an early morning cold front passage. Temperatures will continue to slowly fall through the 50s this afternoon & early evening with a few spotty showers off Lake Ontario, especially south & west of Rochester today. A disturbance & surface trough will swing through tonight & early Tuesday & produce a few showers, & possibly a few flakes of snow/little graupel, mainly over the hills. Lows tonight will be close to 40, while low to mid 50s will be all we can muster on Tuesday afternoon, with maybe a little sun late.
Come Wednesday a warm front will swing through early with a shower or two possible, but then a significant warm up will occur later Wednesday with a gusty southwest wind & some sun to boot!! Highs on Wednesday, as reflected above should have no problem making the low to mid 70s!
On Thursday, a cold front will come through again & send readings down in to the 50s again by day's end after a windy, warm start near 70! A more seasonable air mass will be around for Friday & the weekend the way it looks now with a few scattered showers from time to time. Stay tuned to News 8 for updates throughout the week.
Have a great start to your week everyone!
