The Coolest Start To July On Record?
After an up and down month of June, July will start almost chilly! You can thank strong Polar high pressure building South from Eastern Canada over the weekend. A "dry" cool front will push through Rochester early Saturday. Normally we'd expect highs to reach near 80 degrees but we'll be lucky to hit 70 on Sunday. Our record minimum high for July first is 69 degrees set in 1982, we are forecasting a high of 69 on Sunday. July is typically our hottest month. Of the 6 times Rochester recorded a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, 5 occurred during July! Don't cover the pool yet, somewhat warmer weather will return in time for fireworks on Wednesday!
