You Can Never Trust A Warm Front...

The situation this morning was proof of the phrase, "You can never trust a warm front." The rowdy cluster of thunderstorms, pictured here, developed late last night and very early this morning along a warm front poised over Lake Ontario, pummeling southern Canada and lightning up Eastern New York with Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. Most of us missed out on the storms, just seeing a couple of extra clouds in our skies and quite a light show along the Lake shore, but far northeastern Wayne County could not say the same. Overnight, they were clipped by the batch of storms, getting a quick dose of heavy rain, gusty wind, and cloud-to-ground lightning. There was even a report of a tree down in Sodus. Thankfully, these storms missed most of us or the Monday morning commute might have been a rough one.

  1. I was woken up at 2:30 AM with my NOAA weather radio and then we did not get anything.
