Autumn Preview Coming Late Week
Written by: Scott Hetsko
As we draw closer to the beginning of Autumn, we notice colder air building in Northern Canada. Temperatures in the 20s and 30s were observed in the near the Arctic Circle on Monday. As this air grows colder, pieces of this airmass will begin to dive South into the United States. Our first cool spell will arrive in the Northern plains states on Tuesday. We expect temperatures in Western NY to fall to the lower 60s for a high temperature by Saturday. Strong high pressure should allow for morning lows in the upper 30s in the coldest Southern Tier valleys by Sunday a.m.!
