The Leaves Are A-Changin'!
Although it has been atypically warm this fall season across Western New York and the Finger Lakes, the fall colors are really putting on a show across the state.
To get leaf colors going, Mother Nature needs to provide a combination of warm days and chilly nights. This combo has been most common over the Catskills, the Western Southern Tier, and the Adirondacks, where the colors are farthest along. Even here at home in Rochester, colors are generally at at least mid-point, with areas over Eastern Wayne County and Western Orleans County close to peak color. It might be time for that weekend leaf-peeping trip!
