"Olga" Impacts the Caribbean
Written by: Jonathan Myers
Although she is now weakening, Tropical Storm Olga is a rather strange sight to see in the Caribbean during December. Considering the Atlantic tropical season ended about a full half month ago, on November 30th, Olga is running about 12 days behind schedule! This just proves it doesn't always have to be hurricane season to get tropical weather.
By no means has Olga been a blockbuster, but she provided the island of Puerto Rico with heavy rain over the past 24 hours and has had maximum sustained winds, as of the last few reports, of between about 45 and 50 mph.
