Is Spring Here to Stay?
Written by: Brian Neudorff
The weather the past few days have been delightful. I don't know about you, but I have had my windows open, I turned off our furnace and I am ready for the warmth of Spring to stay. Unfortunately, the spring months of March, April and May are transitional months and as I mentioned in our previous post, "Roller Coaster of Spring", it is very common to see periods of above and below average temperatures. It is beginning to look like our current run at Spring warmth is not here to stay.
Looking ahead to the weekend and beyond, there is some indication that the jet stream will begin dip to our south, changing our current pattern, and usher in some colder and even below average temperatures for Sunday and into the early part of next week. (Note: Rochester Average Temperature is around 52 degrees) Cold enough that wet snow could occur during overnight hours with some unsettled weather Sunday Night into Monday. The below average temperatures may stay with us through most of next week with highs in the 40s.
