Great Candidate For Frost!
Written by: Scott Hetsko
If you're reading this, you're probably nerdy enough to know about or at least heard of dew point. Dew point is simply the actual temperature the air would be if the relative humidity suddenly reached 100%. That's the simplest definition and easy to understand. Frost point is the same except that instead of forming dew, you'll see frost collect on the grass by early morning. Conditions tonight are perfect for frost formation well South of Rochester; little wind, clear sky and a dry airmass! Those factors allow for the temperature to slowly cool toward the frost point overnight. Frost advisories are in effect for the counties you see in blue.
