Morning Snow Totals: Nov 10. 2008

After our wonderful stretch of Indian summer weather, reality has settled in for some of us here in Western New York. Cold air has replaced last weeks warmth and this has allowed the lake effect machine to get back up and running.

Of course with lake effect it is either feast or famine when it comes to amounts. Some of us have only seen a few flakes where as other have seen several inches. Most of the snow bands have been coming off of Lake Erie into the Chautauqua ridge and into the Bristol hills of the southern Tier. Off of Lake Ontario the bands have been moving into Lewis, Oswego & Lewis counties.

Here is a look at the latest snow amounts as of 10:55 a.m from the National Weather Service in Buffalo. These amounts are from trained spotters that report to the National Weather Service...
