October was cold for most of the U.S.

October will go down as the 25th coldest in N.Y. state! Colder than normal temperatures were seen along the entire East Coast and Gulf states. Arkansas and Louisiana were the coldest states compared to average last month. Only two states were well above average: Arizona and California.
