JACK FROST NIPPING BY FRIDAY

Written by: Scott Hetsko

It appears that the pattern that set up shop the last two weeks of November will persist through mid December. After relatively mild air Wednesday, the first in a series of cold fronts will cause temperatures to plummet by Friday. The map to the left shows a deep trough from the Northern Plains into the Northeast.

Expect most of the area just to see light snow with the front but localized lake effect snow will develop Northeast of Rochester Thursday night into Friday. Rochester proper will only get minor snow accumulations through the weekend.
