FRIDAY'S RAIN, DRY WEEKEND

Written by: Brian Neudorff

Rain arrived this morning, some have seen rain all morning others have seen very if any rain through the morning hours. As a storm system lifts out of the Ohio Valley through Pennsylvania and eastern New York showers will spread across New York State. Most of the rain will fall along the New York/ Pennsylvania border with up to an inch possible. The farther north you go the less rain you will see and from Rochester to the shores of Lake Ontario you may see a quarter of an inch or less.

As we head into the weekend, drier air will return and Saturday looks mostly dry and sunshine returns for the afternoon. A weak, moisture starved cold front will swing through the region late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, this will increase clouds but we should remain dry for Sunday. Highs will be in the mid 50s for the weekend.
