As advertised here on this blog since Tuesday the rain is on its way out of the Ohio Valley and into the eastern Great Lakes later Friday afternoon and Friday Night and exiting into New England during the day Saturday.

Flooding isn't a concern, but showers later this afternoon could be heavy and that will also be the case later on tonight. If your plans are to go to high school football games or various Halloween activities across the region prepare for a cold wet evening.

Rains amounts will vary from three quarters of an inch to some places getting over an inch by Saturday afternoon. The good news is your weekend is not lost. The showers should start to taper off as we go into Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday should feature sunshine and clouds with temperatures in the low 50s.
