UPDATE ON THIS WEEKEND STORM
Written by: Brian Neudorff
On Tuesday, I did a post about this weekend's storm and wanted to take the time to update the forecast. Not much has changed from what we were seeing earlier in the week. Our nice mild streak takes a hit Thursday night as a cold front swings through our region and brings a return to more seasonal late October air. This front will also spark a few showers late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. These showers will be fairly light and then end during the overnight hours of Thursday into Friday morning. Friday looks to start dry but the storm system currently in the central plains will move through the Ohio Valley then into the Northeast. Rain should arrive Friday afternoon, and into Saturday. At times the rain could be heavy, it will get windy. Friday is cooler with highs only in the upper 40s but 60s will return for Saturday before cooler air arrives for Sunday and early next week.
If you are worried that the weekend will be a total washout, don't. A lot of the rain could end late Saturday with only scattered showers Sunday morning and then some possibly sun late in the day.
